A dyslexia specialist teacher is a qualified teacher who has specialised in the area of reading difficulties and provides assessment and specialised instruction to help overcome challenges to learners.

  • Special Education/Resource Teacher at primary level with much experience working with a range of learning profiles such as dyslexia, attention difficulties, autism, and speech and language difficulties.
  • Masters of Ed. in Dyslexia in 2019, a course that focused on language and literacy, the identification and assessment of learning difficulties/dyslexia and the use of relevant effective interventions
  • Hold a current Assessment Practicing Certificate with British Dyslexia Association: APC NO. 23/APC07124. This international qualification recognises the holder’s ability to undertake the assessment of dyslexia.
  • Associate Member of British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA)
  • Member of Dyslexia Specialists Ireland (DySI) and Dyslexia Association of Ireland
  • Member of The Teaching Council
